South Hill v Classics
Memorial South (NE)
22nd. September 2002

Early season tiredness tells........
The Classics kicked off the season with a loss in a hard fought game at South Hill. Mike Snow blasted a rocket into the top right of the net after ten minutes to open the scoring. The Classics were dominating the game but South Hill hit an equaliser against the run of play when an attacker ran through the Classics defence to give Garry Hackel no chance.

In the second half the Classics tired as the game wore on and South Hill came more into the play. They struck the winner 15 minutes from time after a good left wing run saw the Hill forward round two defenders to beat Hackel. It was a game in which the Classics deserved a draw but it wasn't to be.
